America is on the brink of fiscal disaster -- we can't keep spending money we don't have

header
Patriot:,

When my daughter Caroline was born, our national debt was $10 trillion. Today, it’s nearly $17 trillion. Our national debt has grown by over 60 percent in her short five years.

Right now, Congress is engulfed in a battle to heap more debt on our children and grandchildren... without debate and without conditions.

Senate Democrats want to jam through a federal budget using procedural tricks to raise the debt ceiling yet again. And, unfortunately, we can't trust Republicans either.

Simply put, America is on the brink of fiscal disaster -- we can't keep spending money we don't have.

We've heard the assurance "Trust us" from Democrats and Republicans for far too long. Politicians in both parties have gotten us into this mess.
As we approach our critical end-of-month fundraising deadline, please donate today to keep Congress from bankrupting our children and grandchildren.
There are a few conservatives in Congress willing to stand up against out-of-control spending and out-of-control debt.
We need your help to hold the line... please chip in what you can right now before our end-of-month deadline at midnight on Friday.
Thank you.
For Liberty,

Ted Cruz

Gabriel Gomez comes out swinging at "Dirty Ed Markey" in new TV Ad - #GameOn

GABRIEL GOMEZ RELEASES NEW TV AD: “SOMETHING NEW”

May 21, 2013
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GABRIEL GOMEZ RELEASES NEW TV AD: “SOMETHING NEW”
“Congressman Ed Markey plays dirty politics. I’m offering the people of Massachusetts something new.” – Gabriel Gomez
Boston, MA – Gabriel Gomez, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in the Massachusetts open seat special election, today released a new television ad.
The new ad, called “Something New,” will air statewide beginning tomorrow.
“Congressman Ed Markey plays dirty politics,” said Gomez. “He resorts to dirty politics so he doesn’t have to talk about his ineffective record.”
“Ed Markey is more of the same. He’s a career Washington politician and the poster boy for why we need term limits. I’m offering the people of Massachusetts something new. I have a reform plan to reboot Congress, and to clean up Washington,” said Gomez.
TRANSCRIPT:
ANNCR I:  Negative ads from “Dirty Ed” Markey smearing Gabriel Gomez comparing him to bin Laden, now Markey actually blames Gomez for the Newtown shooting.
Disgusting.
37 years in Congress. Dirty Ed Markey.
ANNCR II: Let’s try something new…Gabriel Gomez, businessman, Navy Pilot, Navy SEAL.
Gomez has a plan to clean up congress…term limits, forbid congressmen from becoming lobbyists, and if congress can’t pass a budget, they don’t get paid.
GOMEZ:  I’m Gabriel Gomez and I approved this message.
ANNCR II: Gomez – the future starts today.

Ed Markey hasn't been seen in Mass on trail in a week, won't release his taxes, hiding behind his liberal media. He's in DC with lobbyists and his residence in Maryland. Guess that's what 37 year career politicians do...

Newt Gingrich eye's a Senate seat in #MAsen - His group backs Gabriel Gomez

Via Newt Gingrich e-mail to supporters:

If Democrats had won this Deep South seat they would have been shouting from the rooftops. Instead they spent a lot of money with nothing to show for it.
Now they and the Republicans have to turn to Massachusetts.
The Republican candidate is Gabriel Gomez, a former Navy SEAL, venture capitalist and upset winner of the primary who has suddenly emerged as a serious contender.
Long term Congressman Ed Markey who was presumed the automatic winner in the general election has suddenly found himself in a 44-40 race with Gomez according to a public poll last week.
Markey clearly is rattled and his first attack is guaranteed to backfire. He has an ad which shows Gomez’ picture and Bin Laden’s.
Why a liberal anti-war Democrat would want to attack a Navy SEAL with that kind of over the top ad is beyond comprehension.
This promises to be a very interesting race.

Mike Sullivan Endorses Gabriel Gomez in #MAsen

Good news for Gabriel that Mike Sullivan and his grassroots backing have endorsed +Gabriel Gomez  This is good news on party unity. I have also done some digging and despite some ragged NRSC faulty messaging there has been no tact left or platform changes from Team Gomez. Good to hear and consistent with all media interviews of late, particularly on Fox News.

Michael J. Sullivan (left) called GOP nominee Gabriel Gomez “a good, decent person.”

The Teaparty Mission Statement - Radical Principles

Teaparty Express Mission Statement

Propelled by millions of Tea Party supporters across the country, Tea Party Express has become the most aggressive and influential national Tea Party group in the political arena. We are committed to identifying and supporting conservative candidates and causes that will champion tea party values and return our country to the Constitutional principles that have made America the “shining city on a hill.”

Tea Party Express is proud to stand for six simple principles:

  • No more bailouts
  • Reduce the size and intrusiveness of government
  • Stop raising our taxes
  • Repeal Obamacare
  • Cease out-of-control spending
  • Bring back American prosperity

What a radical mission statement, personal responsibility, smaller government, less taxes,
less government interference, stop fiscal irresponsibility and to restore American prosperity

The Tea Party will continue fighting against the out-of-control spending and intrusive big-government policies that are still prevalent in D.C

Actually upon further review, there is nothing radical here at all.

“Ed Markey: Wrong For Massachusetts” MassGOP’s New Web Video
Boston- Today the MassGOP launched a new web video entitled, “Ed Markey, Wrong For Massachusetts” which highlights criticisms from Steve Lynch, Ed Markey’s partner in Congress and "friend" for decades.

“They say if you really want to know someone, talk to their friends and fellow congressman Steve Lynch was right when he slammed Markey for his weak record on terrorism and for his attempt to have it both ways,” said Kirsten Hughes, MassGOP Chairman. “Typical of a career politician, Ed Markey will do anything to hang on to his job, but he has been part of the problem in Washington D.C. for over three decades.”

Click here to watch “Ed Markey: Wrong For Massachusetts”
Transcript of “Ed Markey Wrong For Massachusetts” (.53) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2PWNhrBs3E

Video Text: Ed Markey is wrong for Massachusetts
Video Text: But don’t take our word for it.
Steve Lynch: I don’t want to call you a liar, but you are. Your record is quite clear on this.
Steve Lynch: Every single person who represents a port voted yes on the port security bill except for you. You voted no on that. You voted no with one other person against every other member of Congress, Democrat or Republican.
Steve Lynch: Almost every Democrat, almost every Republican in Congress, this is after 9/11. It is mystifying that Mr. Markey can now say that he is a champion of homeland security.
Steve Lynch: Alright I don’t want to call you a liar but you are.
Steve Lynch: You are so far out on the left, it’s ridiculous. Even basic stuff like offering condolences to the families after 9/11.
Video Text: Ed Markey. Ridiculous.

View from Cohasset at the Gabriel Gomez Victory party

The political outsider Gabriel Gomez pulled off a miraculous upset, beating the two career politicians Michael Sullivan and Dan Winslow in what turned out to be a rather convincing romp.

Gabriel Gomez    51%
Mike Sullivan      36%
Dan Winslow      13%

It was a joyous evening as the Gomez victory was declared on National TV and it was a very emotional scene. Lots of hard work and an uphill battle to win over a state of Republican voters who didn't even know Gabriel three months ago. I will let a few pictures tell the story.

What a night!
